My name is Thomas Cabello. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I serve families and individuals who are struggling through changes or traumas that make communication within the family or within oneself difficult. I use experiential and solution focused interventions to explain these changes or traumas better. I serve families, couples, individuals (children and adults), or groups through these changes and within the best possible member modality within counseling.
I am originally from Peru and moved to the United States at age 9. I joined the US Army at age 20 and finished both my Bachelors and Masters at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, graduating in 2018. All these experiences have helped me through my helping profession. I look forward to helping you form a meaningful relationship within yourself or your loved ones.

Mi nombre es Thomas Cabello. Soy un Terapista Licensiado de Matrimonio y Familia. Asisto a familias y individuos que necesitan ayuda con cambios y traumas que hacen dificil la comunicacion entre miembros de familia o en si mismo. Uso tecnicas de Enfoque de Soluciones Breves y Terapia Experiencial de Familia para mejor explicar estos cambios y traumas. Asisto a familias, parejas, indiviuos (adultos y jovenes), y grupos durante estos cambios por el medio mas preferible mientras en los servicios de consejeria.
Originalmente, soy de Peru y me mude a los Estados Unidos a los 9 años. Fui as Ejercito Estado-Unidense a la edad de 20 y temine my Bachiller y Masterado en la Univesidad de Mary Hardin-Baylor, graduandome en 2018. Being an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist allows me to see the whole picture of the situation and assess treatment as needed, either through the individual and/or family (if needed). I worked with Thomas ( "Tom" ) through an intensive outpatient program for volatile and fragile teen and pre-teens clients and their families. The work is demanding and especially challenging mainly because the poor family functioning. Frequently treatment plans have to be revised and adapted on more than a weekly basis. Tom did exceptionally well in the face of these fluctuating circumstances. He remained a steady and professional demeanor while delivering sound quality care. His skills often proved to be the anchor in navigating oftentimes highly labile circumstances.
I do not frequently agree to write letters of recommendation but it is a pleasure to recommend Tom.
